After the foundation was established, the exhibition study and planning team started collecting information, conducting research and preparing an exhibition planning and outline project including the displaying concept, contents planning, operation strategy, management principles, and space allocation, etc. as well as drafted the design principles:
- Presenting diverse topics and enriching visitors’ experiences.
- Flexibility in exhibition.
- The use of high-tech facilities to create a vivid exhibition.
- Coordinating the exhibition with educational development activities to attract visitors.
- Creating a joyful, sacred and perceptive atmosphere.
- Non-categorizing to display the generalities of religions.
- Avoiding the criticism of chaos and presenting the contemporary religions' contributions to the society.
After the planning phase was completed, the implementation of the construction started. In less than two years, we recruited a large scale of people in construction, decoration and other engineering teams, as well as contents and graphics research teams. We put in a lot of resources and efforts as well as combined people's intelligence and expertise to build the museum from piling up one brick and one tile after many years of planning of the museum.
