Since Bamiyan’s Buddha was destroyed by the Taliban, and the World Trade Center suffered from a terrorist attack in 2001, the world has begun to ponder over the apparent civilizational clash between Western culture and Islam.

Hoping for the situation not to deteriorate, Dharma Master Hsin Tao appealed to the world to take Buddhist as a third party, to serve as mediator working towards resolving conflicts between the Western world and Islam. The conversations between Buddhists and Muslims have been launched since then, and as of 2015, GFLP has organized 14 Buddhist-Muslim dialogue sessions that took place in 11 countries.
