Perched on a steep mountain cliff with vast panoramas of the Pacific Ocean in Northeast Taiwan, Ling Jiou Mountain is an extraordinary sanctuary for the appreciation of breathtaking natural beauty and for spiritual contemplation.
Chan meditation (Zen in Japanese) is the main practice of this monastery. Through the activities of the LJM Buddhist Society, Master Hsin Tao spreads his unique teachings, which include a series on Dharma education, “Listen to silence” meditation practice, Great Compassion mantra retreats, and a grand ceremony for the dead.
