Aiming for MWR’s mission of Love and Peace to be comprehended and practiced worldwide, the Development Foundation has set up an international non-government organization, the Global Family for Love and Peace (GFLP) , to work on seven major projects in an ongoing manner:

  1. Inter-religious dialogues: To resolve some conflicts between different religions, the GFLP has initiated series of Buddhist-Muslim dialogues on a global scale.
  2. Humanitarian Rescue and heritage preservation: Examples of such events can be taken from the tsunami attacking Sri Lanka, India, in 2005; the earthquake in Szechwan, China in 2008; the August eighth flood in Taiwan in 2009; the nuclear crisis in Japan during 2011; and the continual conservation of Buddhist ancient pagodas in Burma etc.
  3. Environmental Protection: The project constitutes nine social campaigns that appeal to the general public for tranquility, kindness, conversation, vegetarianism, reusable bags, energy saving, carbon reduction, water economy, and green issues.
  4. Meditation Centers: Creating meditation centers around some major cities of the world, such as Beijing, New York, and Delhi, etc., to promote the tranquil state of mind.
  5. Burma Project: Events such as improving children’s education, raising the living standards of the impoverished, and providing scholarship for monks, etc., are on top of the agenda.
  6. Extension of MWR’s Landscape: Branches of Museum of World Religions located in Birmingham, UK, and Delhi, India, are among the list of planning, that will be opened in the future.
  7. University of World Religions: In the next few years the Global Family for Love and Peace will embark on a plan to build a University of World Religions, which will encompass teachings, theology, and philosophy of many religious traditions around the globe and offer programs that advocate cooperation between different religions.

The Global Family for Love and Peace has been registered with the United Nations Headquarters in New York and is an NGO with an UN ECOSOC consultative status.
