25 is a divine mission that unites us, and unity is the full expression of God`s love. Dialogue does not fear Truth, and Truth does not fear dialogue. As Faisal Bin Muammar of KAIICID pointed out it, dialogue is the art of understanding each other. Bartholomew I, Archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch, known widely as the “Green Patriarch” with his ecological activism, read his letter to be delivered to the G20 meeting. He pointed out that scientific and technological knowledge reveals the ambivalence of human freedom. While science serves life through medical advances etc., it provides humankind with all-powerful means that can turn destructive, as seen in the weapons industry and the pollution and exploitation of nature. He warned that “Scientific knowledge does not mobilize the moral will of man, who knows the dangers but continues to act as if he did not.” Emphasizing that there is no genuine progress which is founded on the destruction of the natural environment, he called on the G20 nations to adopt an alternative way of economic structures and development that is not based on maximizing profit at all cost. The struggle for the protection of Creation is a central dimension of the Christian faith, while its destruction is an offense against the Creator, entirely irreconcilable with the basic tenets of Christian faith. While the Interfaith Forum created a lot of good will and new hope in our ability to face the challenges of our times together, it suffered from some imbalances that may only in part have been Corona related. For example, there were very few religious leaders represented from outside of the Abrahamic traditions, and very few women speakers in the panels. Even though a Youth Forum was held at the same time, the young people were never given a stage in the general conference, so that many attendees did not even know about the Youth Forum’s existence. Hopefully, this imbalance will be fully corrected in the next G20 Interfaith Forum to be held in Indonesia next fall. 大會舉辦城市義大利 Bologna With Ibrahim Ozdemir, former Deputy Director General at Turkish ministry of education who received Shihfu in Turkey 前土耳其教育部長 Ibrahim Ozdemir,曾於心道法師參訪土國時熱情接 待。 國際交
